Amridge University recognizes the importance of a quality education and is dedicated to helping students find a way to achieve their higher education goals. A number of scholarships are awarded each semester to new and current students within the various school and colleges of the University.

*Lock in your tuition rate through Graduation and receive an additional tuition discount for each semester you are enrolled full-time.

New Student to Amridge University Incentive Program

Amridge University will provide a $150 tuition credit incentive for the first-time Amridge student who makes application to the university and registers for the Fall 2014 through Summer 2015 semester.

Guidelines for Scholarships

  • Amridge University-based scholarships cannot be combined. If eligible for more than one scholarship, Amridge will award the highest scholarship amount.
  • Scholarships, discounts and grants will only be applied toward the cost of tuition.
  • No student will be awarded a scholarship unless his or her account from previous terms is paid in full.
  • Required documentation must be received in the financial aid office before the scholarship will be applied to the student’s account.
  • No combination of financial aid awarded that includes scholarships or institutional grants (institutionally controlled funds) may result in a cash overpayment to the student. If such a situation should occur, the scholarship or grant (institutionally controlled funds) portion of the award will be reduced.
  • Must be enrolled full-time.

 No more than one of the following scholarships, institutional grants and discounts may be awarded during the same semester. If eligible for more than one scholarship, Amridge will award the highest scholarship amount.

Amridge University First–time Freshman Tuition Program (F'14 – Sum '15)

Undergraduate First-time Freshman Scholarship 
Program recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • First-time Amridge University freshman
  • Must be enrolled at least half time
  • No previous college 

Tuition rate - $250 per semester hour for full-time students and $330 per semester hour for part-time students. These rates are conditioned upon the student effort to the following:

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Not make the grade of “F” in any course taken
  • Not drop a course within the semester
  • Not withdrawing from the university within the semester

Students in good academic standing who maintain continuous enrollment are guaranteed these rates through graduation.

  

Undergraduate Full-Time Discount

Program recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be enrolled full-time

Discount – $660 off full-time tuition

  

Graduate Full-Time Discount

Program recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be enrolled full-time

Discount – $575 off full-time tuition for Graduate

  

Doctoral Full-Time Discount

Program recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be enrolled full-time

Doctor of Ministry Discount – $515.00 off full-time tuition

Doctoral – $581.00 off full-time tuition

 

Professional Credentialing Scholarship

Program recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Available to students who are not enrolled in a degree program
Discount – Undergraduate – $160 off each course
  Graduate – $210 off each course
  DMin – $225 off each course
  PhD – $258 off each course

Comprehensive fee for applicable program will apply

  

Amridge University Transition Institution Award (F'14 – Sum '115)

Demonstrating how much we value our students who select to continue their education at Amridge after completing their bachelor’s degree, Amridge University offers the following award: $650 Comprehensive Fee will be waived the first semester enrolled in a graduate program (Can be combined with other scholarship).

 Recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled full-time in a graduate degree program within 12 months of completing an Amridge bachelor’s degree
  • Unconditionally admitted to the graduate program

Guidelines for Institutional Scholarships/Grants:

  • Scholarships, discounts and grants will only be applied toward the cost of tuition.

Amridge University Scholarship for Home School Student (F'14 – Sum '15)

Recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Home school graduate
  • First-time Amridge University freshman
  • Must be enrolled at least half time
  • No previous college

Scholarship - $250 per semester hour for full-time students and $330 per semester hour for part-time students.

Amridge University Sister Institution Scholarship Program (F'14 – Sum '15)

Demonstrating how much we value our sister institutions, Amridge University provides the following scholarship:

Scholarship - $2190 off tuition for Undergraduate; $2880 off tuition for Graduate per semester for first non-doctoral degree: $3200 off tutition for Leadership and Management. 

Recipient must meet the following criteria: 

  • Current full-time faculty or staff, their spouse, or their dependents at a Church of Christ-affiliated university, college, or academy
  • Employment of at least one year at sister institution
  • Provide a letter annually from the academic dean of the university or college or headmaster of the academy verifying full-time employment and length of employment
  • Spouse must provide proof of marriage
  • Dependent must provide proof of relationship

  

Dr. Rex and Barbara Turner Ministerial Scholarship Program (F'14 – Sum '15)

Recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Current paid ministerial staff for a Church of Christ
  • Provide letter of employment from the elders of the church paying the salary. This must be received by the fourth week of the semester.
  • Student must be enrolled full-time.

Scholarship - $1095 off full-time tuition undergraduate, $1440 off full-time tuition graduate, $1600 off full-time tuition Leadership and Management, $1035 off Doctor of Ministry for first Amridge University degree, excluding PhD. This scholarship is only available for one degree.

  

Amridge University Corporate Alliance Discount

Recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have three or more employees of the same company. Recipient can be enrolled part time and/or full-time.  
  • Provide letter of employment from company Human Resources Department. This must be received by the fourth week of the semester.

Scholarship - $730 part time/$1095 full-time off Undergraduate, $960 part time/$1440 full-time off Graduate, $800 part time/$1600 full-time off Leadership and Management.

  

Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies Cooperative Scholarship (Limited to PhD Biblical Studies)

Recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a church or individual sponsor who will pay 25% or 50% of the tuition cost.  
  • Provide signed Cooperative Scholarship Agreement prior to registration.

Scholarship - Amridge University will provide a scholarship by matching 25% of tuition

This scholarship is designed to encourage local congregations and/or sponsors to support potential students in the in-depth study of the Bible. If the congregation and/or sponsor pays 25% of a qualifying student’s tuition, Amridge University will match that 25% in the form of a scholarship. The student will be responsible for 50% of tuition, and will be responsible for fees.

Congregations and/or sponsors may provide up to 50% of a qualifying student’s tuition, with Amridge University matching 25% in the form of a scholarship. The student will be responsible for 25% of tuition, and will be responsible for fees.
